The locations

Three locations, one common idea – the House of Training links the different countries and regions in which METRO Cash & Carry operates. Each location nevertheless retains its own character.

• Royaumont, France

Royaumont Abbey to the north of Paris provides an inspiring setting for the House of Training in France. Training here is focused on management and in particular for store managers and buyers. At the INFA catering school situated close by, employees have the opportunity to strengthen their practical knowledge on handling the products.
 

• Shanghai, China

China is one of the most important growth markets for METRO Cash & Carry. The House of Training is located at the headquarters in Shanghai near the METRO store in Putuo where practical training takes place. A unique feature of the Shanghai campus is the professional training kitchen providing the latest equipment on 150 square meters of floor space.

• Moscow, Russia

The Russian capital performs an important function as a bridge for the expansion of METRO Cash & Carry in the countries of Eastern Europe. The House of Training teaches the employees in the entire region the necessary theoretical and practical skills.
